AGM NEWS
Thank you to all who attended our first AGM back at the club since the summer of 2019 following the pandemic, various items were discussed.
Our Chairman, Nick O’Mahony read his report, thanking everyone for their efforts who had assisted the club in this past year, also saying once again, it’s credit to everyone’s efforts who contribute to the club the positive position we find ourselves in.
Nick then put on his treasurer’s hat and told all that our finances are in a great place and we will be continuing to further improve our fantastic facility at the Rec this year.
As we know Gareth Laycock stood down as Captain at the end of last season, and the headline news from this AGM is that Ed Webster has taken over and become the 1st XV Captain for the 2022/23 season.
James Hill was voted in as Ed’s Vice Captain.
Both Ed and James spoke well in what their aims were for the season ahead.
The committee basically stayed exactly the same as per the last few years with the exception of Club Secretary, where we welcome Lynda Carmichael, a long standing club supporter, who was elected into this role.
